I'm going to show you guys how not to bust your knuckles or lacerate yourself. When I'm doing a crank fixing bolt, I see this all the time. People will do this number right here and they'll try but they got a p wrench okay and they're here and they're doing this number trying to do that and you can slip and bust your knuckles. I've seen it happen really bad like especially on a road bike with this big chainring come across here and just absolutely wreck your hand major laceration there's a lot of wrenches out there to choose from none of these are any good for that okay what you want is you want a ratchet okay just like that with an 8mm. It could be a straight handle one it doesn't have to have this wobbly head on it but what we want to do with it okay is we get it close to the crank arm we don't want it out here obviously we don't want it here you want to get close to the crank arm just like that and all you're doing is you're going to grab the pedal just like that and go right see how that's impossible for me to bust my knuckles with that's the way you want to do it and when tightening same exact way you're going to come in here to tighten it right it's just reverse the order and you're going to go just like this and then you're going to get your torque wrench you're going to put the torque wrench on there and you're going to do the exact same thing.
