Some carbon frames are messy inside, or the manufacturer decided to ignore the engineering drawings and standards in favor of winging it. No matter. Sometimes you just need to do a little work to ensure a proper fit.
Gary here from BBInfinite with another shop tip. Carbon frames are handmade and the interior can be pretty messy in order to fit a BBInfinite module to certain bikes. It's necessary to remove some material for an unobstructed path through the frame bottom bracket shelf from one side to the other the p5 is the only survival that needs this extensive work but other bikes like Canyon's and Giant's typically meet this kind of work to be done and note the safety equipment you don't want to breathe the dust and of course be careful to avoid sanding material away from the bottom bracket shell contact surfaces so that you don't compromise the Press-Fit zones required for a good fit we recommend the ruler test to check things out before fitting if the straightedge teeter totters you've got more work to do give it a good fingering to see if the obstructions are gone and the contours are nice and rounded once this is done it's time to install so that's it and remember it's easy when you know how subscribe to our YouTube channel to find all of our videos where you will see installation tips and helps and introductions to new products follow us on social media outlets Twitter Instagram Facebook don't forget to like us and best thing of all go to BBInfinite calm you will see all of our greatest propaganda about all the greatest products in the world check us out
